Turning your rug every few months helps it wear evenly and stay fresh. If there’s a spill, act quickly by blotting it with a clean cloth—never rub, as this can damage the fibres. A small amount of mild detergent and water can help with stains, but always test on an inconspicuous area first. Try to keep your rug out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, and consider using a rug underlay to keep it in place and reduce wear. Professional cleaning every year or so will revive its appearance and extend its life. If you ever need to store your rug, roll it (don’t fold), wrap it in breathable fabric, and store it in a cool, dry space. Avoid damp areas, as moisture can lead to mould or deterioration. With a little care, your rug will remain a cosy and stylish part of your home for years to come.
